PATHWAYS is the sophomore solo album from Chicago’s Phashara (of Beatmonstas). Of the 13 tracks, 10 are self-produced by the emcee & beatmaker himself. Pathways, the conceptual declaration of one who walks his own path, has been referred to as a “future classic” with its heavy, hard hitting drums and sample driven retro-contemporary hip-hop feel. This is hip-hop for the grown up B-boys and B-girls who enjoy that good ole boom-bap with conscious lyricism.

Phashara is joined by the likes of legendary emcee Sadat X (Brand Nubian) on ‘Codes’ produced by Noble Dru with cuts from DJ 3rd Rail. The illustrious !llmind produced the melodious ‘Dreams’ featuring Finale & Reefa Rei with cuts from RICE THE SOUND TRANSMITTER. The sun rises with, UK producer, The Passion HiFi’s reprise of ‘Sunshine’, the perfect summer banger. The Phashara produced ‘Drop Bombs’ finds our host doing just that, dropping bombs, with circus trapeze-esque synths, big drums and sharp lyrical delivery. Rapmusic.com calls Phashara “one to watch” and Pathways will surely make it worth your while.

What are they sying about Phashara & Pathways
“Incredible meaningful lyrics over dope beats / production. Can't recommend this one enough.” -King Kirby (UGHH.com)

"good ole’ boombap beats -think Buckwild or Beatminerz- and heart-felt lyrics... on his second solo album ‘Pathways’" -Platform8470

“Phashara seems to spit poetically, intertwining a nice beat with a strong lyrical flow.” -RapMusic.com

“Phashara had me convinced about 15 seconds into the song. No long, drawn-out intro - just straight into the heart of the record. I'm a big fan.” -DJ Z / DJBooth.net

“Phashara draws on his own experiences to show his target audience they do have alternatives in life. Edutainment at its best.” -Ryan Proctor / International DJ Magazine
